Katie Henry, LPCi

I am an LPC-intern with a MA in School Counseling, MA in Professional Counseling, and I am a Nationally Certified Counselor. After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, I taught in Frisco for 9 years, then served the next  6 years as a School Counselor and Testing/504 Coordinator in Frisco ISD. This opportunity deepened my understanding of kids, teens, parents and the current issues being faced each day.

I love working with children, teens, women, parents and the family unit as a whole. My specialties include helping those struggling with anxiety, behavior concerns, parenting, defiance, healthy relationships, grief/loss, and self-esteem issues involving shame, guilt, and the fear of exposure.

My counseling office provides a warm, compassionate and safe place that fosters trust, growth and the building of confidence. Whether through conversation, coaching, empathetic listening or play, my clients not only find belonging and acceptance, but will also be given the tools to make a positive change.

Personally, I love to travel, and spend time with my family and friends. My husband and our 3 children have recently moved to Prosper and are excited about the new adventures ahead of us!
