I graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. I taught in elementary schools for 5 years. I then went on to receive a Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO.
Since then, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings providing individual and group therapy. I have extensive experience with children and adolescents with various mental health diagnoses. My work was conducted mainly in non-profit residential facilities as well as the St. Louis City Public Schools.
In 2009, I began working in private practice. I moved to Dallas in 2014 where I live with my husband, dog and two cats. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and depression for all ages. I use both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and, more specifically, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe in providing a safe and trusting environment to help clients learn positive coping techniques to live a more enriching life.
I am currently in network with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Magellan.
