Dani Larsen, MS, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I completed my Undergraduate degree in Psychology at Southern Methodist University and Graduate Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. I’ve worked with children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals in a variety of settings. My career began at a homeless shelter for runaway youths in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. There, I provided group and individual counseling, while also instructing life skills and nutrition classes to clients. From there, I worked as an in home family therapist, utilizing the Functional Family Therapy model. I assisted clients in improving their communication, anger management, and parenting skills, while also reducing delinquent behaviors in troubled adolescents.

I currently see individuals, adolescents, couples, and families, and am comfortable in helping clients sort through issues such as but not limited to anxiety, depression, communication & parenting struggles, and marital issues.

I work in the Frisco office and am in-network with Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, and Aetna, MHN and Ceridian.

I utilize an empathic approach to my counseling to ensure my client feels heard and understood. You will be provided with a non-judgmental environment, and together we will work on the goals you have established for treatment.
