I’m a licensed professional counselor, yoga teacher, and massage therapist who believes we all experience the world in a different way. No two people are the same, and neither are their problems. So, I favor a practical and flexible approach to helping my clients find solutions that fit best with their resources and constraints: as your coach, mentor, and advocate, I’ll help you generate motivation to create new behaviors, develop skills to sustain the behavior change, and gain wisdom to be the best you can be.
I offer individual sessions in which I work with my clients to help them understand their world, change how they think and feel about events, calm themselves when faced with difficult situations, and act with better insights. Together, we integrate my cognitive behavioral therapy tools, mindfulness, EMDR, DBT, and hypnosis training, as well as other skills with your personal and community resources. I’ll always suggest appropriate external resources to support your ongoing growth, like books, movies, and exercises. I also offer skills training and support in group sessions through soothing yoga, anxiety relief, playful mindfulness, and skills-enhancing DBT techniques.
